The church bells have been rung to call the community to worship in Stoneleigh for hundreds of years.
Bell Ringing is very much a team activity and, once learnt, it is a skill that will stay with you for life. Ringers come from all walks of life and are of all ages, from children of ten onwards, with no upper age limit. One of the Stoneleigh team has been a bell ringer for nearly 70 years.
New learners are always welcome – the aim being to ring for Sunday morning services.
The current team practice every Thursday evening from 7.30pm until 9 o’clock in the Tower of St Mary the Virgin Church.
